Tesco Clubcard will soon be accepted at 80 Motor Fuel Group forecourts following a deal MFG has signed with Greenergy to supply it with Esso Synergy fuels in the UK.
Tesco has an existing tie-up with Esso to reward the oil company’s fuel customers with Clubcard points at participating sites.
Eighty of MFG’s 439 forecourts will be rebranded Esso with the conversions taking place from next month until the middle of May.
Seventy-one of the sites that will become Esso garages are currently branded BP.
“We look forward to working with Greenergy, who were able to give us a highly competitive deal that now enables us to provide an enhanced fuel offer to our customers and the attractive Tesco Clubcard loyalty scheme,” said MFG fuel operations director Simon Davis.
The news comes just days after MFG, the UK’s second-largest independent forecourt operator, announced it was on track to install 200 rapid charging points for electric vehicles by the end of the year.
