Recently appointed Treasury Wine Estates commercial director Michelle Brampton will replace Tom King as the Blossom Hill owner’s European boss next month.
Brampton, who was appointed commercial director for the UK & Ireland just two months ago, will take the reins from current MD Europe King next month.
King is departing to become the business’ COO for Asia.
King was promoted to the role of MD Europe in March 2017, having previously held numerous leadership positions with the business, including heading up its central & eastern Europe unit and leading its global travel retail channel.
Brampton joined Treasury’s UK business in August after a stint as CFO for Europe & SEAMEA. Speaking at the time of her appointment as commercial director, King said it was “clear to me that we needed a strong leader to give the necessary focus to the UK”.
It is understood a new commercial director for the UK & Ireland will be appointed shortly.
Last week The Grocer revealed that Asda’s former wine buying manager Jo Durant had left the supermarket to join Treasury as its senior business manager for Asda.
