Spanish brandy Soberano has adopted a new look in a bid to appeal to a more contemporary audience. The brandy's new bottle shape follows focus group research in its domestic market and is designed to enhance the drink's high quality message, while bolder branding brings it up to date. Both Soberano 5 and Soberano 8 are sold in the UK, and brand-owner Gonzalez Byass said it would be focusing on increasing sales of the premium Soberano 8 in the market this year. The brandy is produced in the Jerez region of Spain from Airén grapes via the Solera system, which is more usually used to make Sherry.
