Montezuma’s has teamed up with Waitrose to install branded bays across 28 of the retailer’s stores ahead of Christmas.
The bays will be stocked with the brand’s bestselling chocolate bars – such as Hot Pickle, Happy Hippy, Smooth Operator and Happiness.
They will also include the brand’s Mini Bar Library, a selection of “giant” 300g bars – in Nutterscotch, Black Forest and Happiness flavours – and the brand’s hand-finished truffle cartons and boxes.
The activation would “create an opportunity for Waitrose customers to find extraordinary gifts”, said Montezuma’s.
The brand said it was “already” planning to extend its range in Waitrose, so consumers should “keep an eye out for more exciting flavours and gift items”.
Montezuma’s sales director Caroline Gibbs said: “We’ve worked in close collaboration with Waitrose to create a new, exciting and colourful in-store fixture, which will bring the world of Montezuma’s to many new shoppers.”
Waitrose head of category Giles Fisher said he was “delighted to be working in partnership with Montezuma’s on this new project”.
“I’m sure our customers will be delighted to discover more of the wonderful world of Montezuma’s in Waitrose.”
