Morrisons has appointed Mike Hoban as its new brand and communications director.
Hoban joins from Thomas Cook, where he spent the last year and nine months as marketing and e-commerce director for the UK.
At Morrisons he will take on responsibility for brand identity and external marketing and will report into Morrisons group marketing and customer director Nick Collard.
“Mike has a proven track record and brings some deep experience in his field,” said Collard. “He will be tasked with communicating our sharpened value and our amazing fresh food offer.”
Before joining Thomas Cook, Hoban spent more than two years as chief marketing officer for Confused.com. He also has experience from companies such as Barclaycard, British Airways, Scottish Widows and WH Smith.
