Posh canned cocktail brand Moth has added a duo of new serves.
Passionfruit Martini and Spicy Margarita (rsp: £3.99/125ml) are rolling out across the off-trade from this month.
Passionfruit Martini is available now in Tesco. It would launch “soon” in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Co-op, Morrisons and Ocado, Moth said.
Meanwhile, Spicy Margarita will launch first in Sainsbury’s on 24 March before hitting Waitrose, Tesco and Ocado soon after.
The two serves would build on previous success with “both vodka and tequila-based cocktails”, Moth said.
In addition to Passionfruit Martini, Moth makes Espresso Martini and Cosmopolitan cocktails using Wood Brothers vodka.
Its Margarita is now the number-one RTD margarita in the off-trade [NIQ 52 we 28 December 2024] while its Paloma, launched last year, won Gold at The Grocer’s New Product & Packaging Awards.
Both serves, as well as Spicy Margarita, are made using tequila from Tequila Enemigo.
“At Moth, we’re all about making great cocktails effortless and unforgettable,” said Moth co-founder Rob Wallis. “With our new Passionfruit Martini and Spicy Margarita, we’re raising the bar yet again – bold, exciting flavours that fit perfectly into life’s big and small moments. No faff and no mixing required.”
The NPD push comes after Moth received a £4.6m cash boost in September, following investment led by transatlantic venture capital firm Beringea.
