Motor Fuel Group has appointed David Pitron as its new commercial director.
Pitron joined the forecourt operator yesterday after 16 years at BP, where he held a variety of trading, strategy and partnership development positions in the UK and overseas.
His most recent position was as global retail commercial development director, where he established new retail offers and partnerships, as well as the development of a global convenience strategy.
He will report directly to MFG MD Steve Fox.
“David joins us as we are rapidly developing our ambitious retail plans for our network,” said Fox.
“I am confident that his experience will prove invaluable in maximising shop income and establishing strong relationships with our key suppliers and service providers.”
Pitron has spent 25 years in the sector since he started his career with Marks & Spencer, which he joined via its graduate training programme, spending five years in store management and buying roles.
After this, Pitron spent four years as a senior buyer with foodservice operator Compass Group.
