Northern Irish poultry producer Moy Park has secured listings in Spar, Palmer & Harvey and Nisa for its ready to eat snacking range.
The Good to Go range, which launched in January, was developed as a “convenient snacking solution” for consumers. It features two variants of chicken breast fillet chunks with either BBQ or sweet chilli sauce, and flame grilled and piri piri-flavoured chicken breast fillet chunks (rsp: £1.49/80g).
The listings follow an increase in the processor’s like-for-like sales in its fourth quarter results, announced earlier this month. Though revenues were down 1.5% year on year to £372.3m, like-for-like sales were up 7.4% and the number of birds processed by Moy Park rose by 2.8% to 265.7m.
“It is fantastic to secure these listings for the range following the launch at the beginning of 2017,” said Aisling Graham, interim brand marketing manager.
“From our research, we have seen that consumer priorities for 2017 are focused on convenience and health, which has translated into the snacking market. The range is individually portioned, and uses 100% chicken breast, making it a healthy snacking option throughout the day.”
