Forecourt operator MPK Garages has posted double-digit increases in full-year sales and profit after picking up new stores.
The Top 50 independent retailer’s pre-tax profits soared 76.8% to £316,447 on sales up 10.9% to £65.5m in the year to 28 February 2014, according to accounts filed recentlyat Companies House.
MPK, which has more than 40 sites, said the purchase of eight petrol stations in August 2013 had led to the increase.
Writing in the accounts, the directors added the company had “continued to cope well with the changing market conditions.”
MPK is currently 24th on The Grocer’s Top 50 UK independent grocery retailers.
