Drinks company Fairjuice has introduced what it claims is the UK’s first mulberry juice drink.
Mulberry Fair is available in two flavours, Mulberry & Sanguinello Orange and Mulberry, Grape & Pear, rsp £3.29 for 1 litre.
The company says mulberries have 24% more antioxidants than cranberries and 79% more than blueberries but haven’t been sold as a juice before because processing was too complex. “Mulberries have very fragile skin and start to leak juice within hours of being picked so we invested in technology to prevent the loss of so much juice,” said Rachel Price, Fairjuice MD.
