Müller has brought forward the launch of a fourth variant to its Müllerlight Greek Style line-up following the early success of the sub-range, which has hit £7m in sales within five months of launch.
Luscious Lemon will join existing variants in the range - launched in March this year - including coconut with a hint of vanilla, morello cherry and honeyed peach.
More than 19 million Müllerlight Greek Style pots were sold within 18 weeks of launch, which Müller claimed had made a “significant contribution” to the 6.2% increase in total Müllerlight value sales in the latest 12-week period [Nielsen 52 w/e 7 July 2012]. “Making Britain’s biggest fat-free yoghurt brand available as Greek Style has brought some added impetus to the already buoyant sector,” added marketing manager Lisa Brazier.
Müller had selected lemon because lemon sales in the adult yoghurt sector were growing at 40% by value, she said. Luscious Lemon will feature in Müller’s existing Centaur 20-second TV ad. The new flavour will be available from 18 August in four-packs holding 120g pots, rsp £2.19.
