Müller is moving to a new corporate structure in the UK and Ireland next week, to bring its British and Irish operations into line with the structure of the wider Müller group.
From 1 July, staff in its trading businesses will move over to a new limited liability partnership called Muller UK & Ireland Group LLP, while those employees who provide services to the whole group will transfer to a services company called Muller Services Limited.
Neither of the new legal entities carries an umlaut in the word ‘Müller’, although the umlaut will be retained in all branding.
A spokeswoman for Müller said the changes reflected the way the Müller group was organised in other territories, and would formalise the “organisational structure we already have within the business to the support commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency of our business”.
Müller employees and the company’s trading partners have been informed of the changes.
“It is important to stress that this reorganisation has no practical impact whatsoever on colleagues. The only change is the name of the employer,” the spokeswoman added.
The new organisational structure comes after the company acquired Robert Wiseman Dairies last year.
