Musgrave GB has revealed that Horgan will step down as MD in early May after three years at the helm of the UK business. He will be replaced by Peter Ridler on 6 May.
“Donal was appointed MD of the GB business in October 2010. Now having completed more than three years in GB, Donal intends to leave the business and return to Ireland,” said Musgrave Group CEO Chris Martin in a statement today.
“We would like to thank Donal for his contribution to the Musgrave Group over the last 17 years. We look forward to working with Peter and to welcoming him to the Musgrave Group.”
Peter Ridler was previously MD of Monsoon Accessorize and Body Shop, Tesco Poland CEO and retail director for Tesco UK.
Horgan is the latest in a string of high-profile exits from Musgrave GB. Last year finance director Julie Wirth and trading director Kenton Burchell left the company, followed by Londis sales director Scott Wharton in February, and regional directors Brian McCaughey and John Miller last month.
