Position: Finance director Company: Sun Valley Foods The job: As poultry manufacturer and distributor Sun Valley's new finance director, Childs takes on overall responsibility for the company's financial strategy and planning. His remit spans the whole of its UK and continental divisions, including import and distribution. Based in Hereford, he reports directly to Sun Valley md Hugh Guill. He also takes up a place on the Sun Valley Board of directors. Background: Childs was recruited from Sun Valley's parent company Cargill where he had been controller of its case ready retail meats business in Kansas since 1997. Before being promoted to that position he was business unit controller for Cargill's poultry operation, based in Thailand.
