The job: As commercial director for Jacob's in the UK, Spillane is responsible for category management and trade marketing across Jacob's biscuits and snacks ranges. She said: "I liaise between marketing, sales and, of course, customer care, covering all research, planning, category management and impulse. Basically my job is translating marketing plans into reality in store."
Background: Spillane has been with Jacob's for five years working on national accounts such as Tesco in marketing positions. Previously she was a buyer at CWS for seven years, leaving as senior buyer for biscuits. She said: "I've covered all the areas sales, buying and marketing which have relevance to my current job in my career to date. My main goal in my current position is to make the difference to our visibility in store."
