She said: "I liaise between marketing, sales and, of course, customer care, covering all research, planning, category management and impulse. Basically my job is translating marketing plans into reality in store." Background: Spillane has been with Jacob's for five years working on national accounts such as Tesco in marketing positions. Previously she was a buyer at CWS for seven years, leaving as senior buyer for biscuits. She said: "I've covered all the areas ­ sales, buying and marketing ­ which have relevance to my current job in my career to date.
