The Food Doctor has created the 'Just Steam!' range of microwaveable ready meals with quinoa and seeds. Each has been created to provide a nutritionally balanced meal with no flavours or colourings. Varieties include flame-grilled chicken & quinoa pilau and aromatic couscous with roasted butternut squash.
At the King Parrot Foods' stand people will demonstrate how to make smoothies easily by microwaving pouches of frozen fruit, juice and fat-free yoghurt for a few minutes and then putting them into a blender for a few seconds. Varieties include Blueberry Hills and Strawberry Fields. Natural fruit specialist Pulpa, from Brazil, will be focusing on the acai berry - a superfood rich in nutrients and antioxidants. It will be demonstrating how the berry can be used to make smoothies, as well as showcasing several new acai products - Acai & Green Tea Infusion, acai granola superfood bar and acai berry powder - for adding to juices, yoghurts and breakfast cereals.
The Redwood Wholefood Co will be making its debut at the show with its natural plant-based foods, which are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and people with dietary needs.
Vegideli Cheatin' Vegetarian Mince claims to be the only vegetarian mince in the UK containing Omega-3, Omega-6 and vitamins B6 and B12. It contains inulin - a prebiotic from chicory.
Chicken-style pieces that are plant-based and free from animal ingredients are also new. Redwood will also be displaying its dairy-free alternative to cheese - a soya-based product called Cheezly.
