Both hires marked ‘an extremely exciting growth period for Neat’, the brand said

Eco-cleaning brand Neat has announced two senior appointments from Method & Ecover.

Lonneke Spierings has been appointed business development director. At Method & Ecover she held commercial and account management roles.

Phil McGregor-Jackson joined the business in August as operations director from his role as head of supply chain at Method & Ecover, Neat revealed.

McGregor-Jackson has over a decade’s experience in fmcg and was previously customer service and export manager at Pernod Ricard UK.

Both hires marked “an extremely exciting growth period for Neat, as national listings launch and preparations to launch extensive innovation with existing and new household categories continues”, it said.

The plastic-free brand is currently stocked at Tesco, Ocado, Farmdrop, Selfridges, Booths, Plastic Freedom and Faerly.

“We have big ambitions to transform the category, and we are delighted to have Phil and Lonneke on board to help us do this,” said Neat co-founder Josie Harfield.

“We need an experienced and passionate team in order to help deliver our goals. This is a really exciting moment for us.”

It comes after the start-up received six-figure backing from serial investor Giles Brook in February.

At the time, Neat said Brook would help with the strategic development of the business and brand as it grew its retail distribution.
