Nestlé has sold its milk manufacturing plants in Australia and the Netherlands.
Nestlé said that it would cease manufacturing milk powder in Australia and that its powdered milk factory in the Netherlands had been sold to Dutch entrepreneur Jaap Vreugdenhill.
The sell-off is part of Nestlé’s strategy of progressive withdrawal from basic commodity processing and follows the sale of its basic milk powder plants in Latin America and several European countries.
