Nestlé is moving its UK headquarters to a new site and opening a central London hub.
The fmcg behemoth plans to move all employees based at its current City Place office, which is located near Gatwick Airport, to a new site at Park House, Manor Royal Business District in Crawley from September 2023.
“We have been looking at workplace arrangements for our employees in the south of England and have been communicating internally about some upcoming changes,” said a Nestlé spokeswoman.
“We are reimagining our workplaces to create even more flexibility for employees and deliver an experience that meets our needs for the future.
“The new office is approximately one-and-a-half miles from the current office and will offer a more modern working environment with upgraded technology and facilities.
“There is no change to job numbers or job roles as a result of this move,” the spokeswoman added.
Following the success of a trial hub in 2022, Nestlé also plans to launch a dedicated hub in central London “where people can meet, connect and collaborate” during the second half of the year.
It comes after Nestlé unveiled that it had appointed Richard Watson as CEO of its UK & Ireland business earlier this week.
Watson will replace Stefano Agostini, taking effect on 1 March 2023, as Agostini steps into a new role as Nestlé’s head of confectionery for Europe.
