Asda has unveiled its first sit-in Greggs café, at a new £21m store in Worksop.
It follows the concessions deal signed between the two companies in February, though previous versions have been confined to Greggs counters in stores.
The café will offer vegan sausage rolls and other Greggs favourites including breakfast rolls, sandwiches and wraps, pasta salads, sweet treats, cold drinks and freshly ground Fairtrade coffee.
The 37,000 sq ft store features a range of food-to-go concepts, as Asda ramps up its partnerships with out-of-home companies.

Among other firsts are Kulaba Kitchen – a Mumbai-inspired ‘street food’ offering – and a range of Claire’s branded accessories located ‘in aisle’ within the store’s large George department.
Worksop is also one of the first Asda stores to receive enhanced safety measures, including additional hand sanitiser and cleaning stations at the front of the store, and antimicrobial coatings on basket handles, petrol pumps, toilet door locks and freezer door handles.
“We’re delighted to officially open our Worksop superstore and to have been selected to launch a number of ‘firsts’ for Asda including a brilliant range of food for now options,” said Asda Worksop store manager Craig Loveday.
