Dried fruit and baking specialist, Whitworths, has unveiled the new line-up for its board of directors.
Bernard Cook has been appointed non-executive chairman. David Pratt, who joined Whitworths as group operations director in 1998, succeeds Stephen Price as chief executive (see opposite).
Two non-executive directors are joining the Whitworth board senior partner of Hammond Suddards law firm Noel Hutton and equity specialist Jonathan Diggines.
According to Pratt, Whitworths is tapping into the popularity of healthy snacking'. And the long term strategy is to promote organic growth by acquiring other firms across Europe
He added, "at the same time we are developing our global ingredients supply contracts."
