Logistics operator Gist has added 20 extra-capacity double-decker trailers to its temperature-controlled fleet.

The trailers hold 44 pallets - 10% more than standard 13.6m trailers - and have six larger tyres rather than 12.

“With the expansion of our UK and European network, we are always looking at ways to improve productivity and minimise costs and environmental impact,” said chief executive Martin Gwynn.
