New Forest Ice Cream has ramped up its sharing offer, rolling out an eight-strong range in a 500ml tub.
Joining the Hampshire brand’s one-litre format, the new lineup has launched in to Southern Co-op and Central Convenience Stores. It will be available in southern Waitrose branches “in the next few weeks”, with other high street grocery listings to be confirmed “in the near future”, said New Forest.
A revamped design features a silhouetted illustration, meant to reflect the rural countryside of the New Forest, against a different pale pastel background for each premium variant. They comprise seven ice creams made with whole milk and double cream – Vanilla Pod, Salted Caramel, Iced Latte, Rhubarb & Ginger, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Ganache and Mint Chocolate Crisp – and Lemon & Lime Sorbet (rsp: £3.95). Some of the flavours, including Chocolate Ganache and Rhubarb & Ginger, were “completely new” New Forest said.
The launch comes as take-home value sales of posh ice cream are up 5.6% in the mults to £310.7m [Kantar Worldpanel 52 w/e 21 May 2017].
