Diageo-owned distributor Percy Fox has promoted Jonathan Owen to the new role of head of customer marketing.
Owen moves up from the role of business sector manager for Tesco and will be responsible for "providing vision and solutions to drive category growth for branded wine across both the on and off-trade".
He has worked at Diageo since 2001 in category development roles for convenience and route-to-market channels, and has also been business sector manager for both Sainsbury's and The Co-operative Group at Percy Fox.
"Eighteen months ago, we recognised the need to increase our focus on working collaboratively with customers," said John Hearn, commercial director at Percy Fox. "We have created a dedicated customer marketing team and the introduction of Jonathan as its head shows how integral this team has become."
