Own-label herb supplier R&G Fresh Herbs has launched a new branded range of herbs it claims will offer longer-lasting taste and appearance, even at ambient temperatures.

Herbs in the Nature’s Flavours range will be packed in Modified Atmosphere Packaging using micro-perforated bags. MAP allowed herbs to breathe more effectively and ensured the optimum gas balance and ideal storage atmosphere, the company claimed.

The Nature’s Flavours range comprises 20 products, including basil, coriander, mint and lovage. It will go on sale to wholesalers and foodservice operators on 19 November, with retail listings to follow later.
