Aldi will debut its Christmas ad campaign tonight on ITV1, during the ad break for Emmerdale.
The 60-second ad will introduce the tagline ‘Everyone’s coming to us this Christmas’ featuring Jools Holland, which the discounter says reflects Aldi’s increasing popularity with consumers and extensive product offering.
A 30-second version of the advert will also run, as well as 20-second product adverts which will be released as Christmas approaches.
“Aldi is becoming a cornerstone of the grocery shop and we’re looking to reflect this in the Christmas campaign, while highlighting the superb quality of the products Aldi offer as well as the unbeatable value,” said joint managing director of corporate buying, Giles Hurley. “The commercial also demonstrates to consumers it is possible to do your entire food shop for Christmas at Aldi.”
He added; “We know Christmas is an important time for our customers and we believe everyone should enjoy the best without having to pay a hefty price tag, which is why we’ve launched a Christmas range with widespread appeal “From our award-wining wines and new Five Bird Roast, ideal for serving on Christmas day, to real Christmas trees, premium decorations and luxury gift wrap, Aldi is the one stop shop for every family this Christmas.”
