The number of wholesale reruns for national daily papers almost doubled in February compared to the previous month.
Latest figures from the Association of Newspaper & Magazine Wholesalers show that a total of 8,878 vans were rerun during February compared with 4,483 for January 2001. Year on year the figure was also up by just over 700 vans. Every daily title increased reruns except the Financial Times, where reruns fell from 1,077 in January to 779 for February. In contrast, the double runs for The Times leapt from 279 in January to 1,808.
