Ramsden International has announced the appointment of an advisory board to steer the wholesale exporter of British groceries to further growth.
Nick Ivel, former chief executive of Costcutter Supermarkets, will be joined by Janet Magee, former MD of ACS International Schools, and Nick Badman, former MD and UK senior partner with leading venture capital company 3i Group.
“As a business we are profitable and are performing very well, but we have reached the stage where we recognise we need a step change in how we will grow our business further,” said Ramsden International chief executive Sean Ramsden. “The advisory board will help guide us on that journey.”
Ramsden International currently supplies more than 23,000 grocery products to more than 130 countries worldwide. It has offices in South Africa, Hong Kong and Dubai and employs more than 80 staff. Ivel is currently a partner at Accelerus, which specialises in advising businesses on accelerating their business growth. Magee is director of Magee Leadership Matters, which provides strategic advice to a wide range of companies, and is a non-executive director of ACS International Schools.
Badman, who generated cash returns of more than £1bn from investments at 3i, is now visiting professor at Cass Business School in London. He is also a member of the investment committees of Albion Ventures LLP and the government-backed Angel CoFund.
