Blakemore Wholesale has hired a stores group director to bolster its retail portfolio for Lifestyle Express.
Nick Rose, who was previously at AB InBev, will be responsible for growing Blakemore’s 500-strong estate of Lifestyle Express c-stores and driving sales through Blakemore’s retail club. He is also tasked with delivering profitable wholesale sales and accelerating recruitment of stores.
“Nick brings with him a wide and diverse range of retail experience and I have no doubt he will prove a great asset as we continue to grow and improve our offer to independents,” said Blakemore Wholesale MD Sam Wilcox.
Rose worked for AB InBev for eight years, most recently managing accounts for Booker, Landmark Wholesale, Asda and Tesco. He also worked for 7-Eleven in the US for two years.
“There are significant opportunities to grow the business and the retail club in particular; it is my ambition to help the business achieve the undoubted potential that it has,” Rose said. “One of my first jobs after leaving university was to work for Blakemore Foodservice and it is great to be back.”
