Nisa-Today's has reshuffled its trading department and promoted category controllers Nigel Ashton and Asa Chamberlain to a new five-strong management team.
They join Paul Batchelor, David Stokes and Nick Slater as trading managers and report to MD of central distribution services, trading and logistics, John Sharpe. In addition to their new management duties, Chamberlain and Ashton will retain their buying responsibilities, which include petcare, fortified wines and spirits, and babycare, health & beauty and non-food respectively.
Meanwhile, Steve Dixon, trading controller for NisaChill and NisaFreeze, has been moved to the group's wholesale business as trading controller for foodservice.
David Sabin has also been appointed grocery trading controller in the wholesale business, joining from cash & carry operator Batleys where he held a similar role. Sabin replaces Steve Hodson, who was made local sourcing manager for Nisa in November.
