Nisa stores have reached £5m in total sales via Snappy Shopper, two years after the first one went live with the delivery app in January 2020.
It is more than double the total that had been achieved by February this year.
The home delivery platform said it was pushing shopper awareness of the service through an investment in marketing and promotions, supported by its latest £19.4m fundraising round.
It had helped to drive incremental sales as high as £500,000 for a number of Nisa stores, it said. Average basket spend is weighing at £28.
Nisa Bellshill owner Daniall Nadeem said he was currently running between 40 and 50 deliveries a day, and 80% of his customers were shopping solely via the app rather than in store.
“I would say Snappy Shopper is doing its job well [as] it is getting our store and our products out further than would normally be possible,” said Nadeem.
Snappy Shopper’s platform allows full integration with a retailer’s EPoS system, enabling stock data to be updated daily. It means there is no need to retailers to manually update price changes.
Snappy Group CEO and co-founder Mike Callachan said: “It’s great to see how our technology has helped Nisa retailers achieve such strong sales growth, with the £5m sales mark a real milestone.
“We’ve been working closely with Nisa and the positive feedback we’ve had from partners to date is testament to both teams’ hard work. We’re proud to be supporting local retailers compete in the rapidly expanding home delivery market.”
Nisa head of central operations James Taylor said: “We know that delivered services is becoming an increasingly important proposition within convenience retail, so it’s pleasing to see such strong sales growth for our partners using the Snappy Shopper app.
“We hope to see more success stories in 2022, and any partner wishing to take up the app will benefit from the unique onboarding, launch and sales ramp-up process we work hand in hand with the team at Snappy Shopper on.”
Since January, Snappy Shopper has almost doubled its number of retail partner stores, from 650 to more than 1,100.
