Nisa-Today’s is planning massive promotions to help retailers win back customers after distribution problems at its Scunthorpe ambient warehouse left shops short on stock.
“We agreed the way for retailers to rebuild faith with consumers was by offering deep cut promotions,” said Neil Turton, MD of group commercial services. “These will take place after Easter, representing Nisa’s best promotional activity ever. Instead of matching the multiples, we’ll have to beat them.”
Nisa-Today’s is phasing out restrictions imposed on retailers’ orders to claw back normal output at the Scunthorpe warehouse. Turton said more than half its retail customers had returned to getting deliveries two days after orders, with few products outstanding.
