Nisa-Today's is to relaunch and expand its food-to-go offer and will bring all its own-label impulse lines together under a new brand.
The label, FreshGo, launching in June, will be a complete food-to-go range including sandwiches, hot pastries, soft drinks and coffee. It will be the first time all Nisa's convenience products are sold under a single brand.
Currently, Nisa retailers sell sandwiches under Fresh2Go, soft drinks under Heritage and coffee-to-go and pastries under labels such as Bake&Bite Café or Caffé Society.
"As we move to FreshGo we are going to substantially change our offer and bring a raft of new products into snacking," said Nick Slater, business manager for chilled and fresh food.
"We are looking to build the FreshGo brand across the categories. Having our own brand in this way will separate us from our competition. It looks so much better if you can have a complete offering with one label."
As part of the rebranding, Fresh2Go will be discontinued and the FreshGo range will be extended to include other snacks such as muffins, samosas and slices of carrot with dip.
The Heritage label is being phased out for impulse products but will remain for larger take-home packs. And the drinks range will be expanded to include juice and flavoured water.
Nisa-Today's will also create FreshGo packaging and cups.
It will continue to work with Country Choice and Cuisine de France, which provide pastries and sandwich bars for many of its retail members and Caffé Society, which provides its coffee-to-go.
