Nisa has secured a new five-year contract to supply Ramsden International worth £250m.
The extension to the buying group’s deal is its second major win in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the buying group was named the supplier to the new My Local c-store chain, which is being set up by convenience veteran Mike Greene after he bought 140 Morrisons M Local stores. The My Local deal is set to be worth £1bn to Nisa over five years.
“With this new contract in place, Nisa will give us the flexibility and levels of service that will ensure we continue to deliver the best-possible service to our customers across the globe while continuing to grow our business,” said Sean Ramsden, chief executive of Ramsden International.
Nisa independent and specialist business unit director Steve Leach said it was uniquely placed to supply both traditional c-stores and a wide variety of specialist wholesalers. “We are the only player in the marketplace able to offer the range of services we do to the variety of businesses we do. This enviable business model is why we are well positioned to win these contracts.”
