Organix is launching orange rice cakes in response to what it claims are increasingly “junked” offerings unsuitable for kids.
The brand’s Organic Orange Rice Cakes are flavoured with orange oil and apple juice, and contain no emulsifiers, antioxidants, preservatives, flavourings or processed sugar.
The company said finger foods helped development in babies, and the new rice cakes - available at most multiples at 99p - were also a hit with adults.
Founder Lizzie Vann said: “Mums and dads asked us to make healthier rice cakes. A supposedly healthy food - a simple rice cake - has been junked to such a level that it is no longer suitable for children.”
