Northern Foods has taken control of the 40% of chilled convenience foods group Solway it did not already own for £24.7m.
Solway supplies own label sandwiches, prepared salads and pasta salad snacks to major retailers and in particular to Tesco.
Northern Foods chief executive Jo Stewart, said: “We look forward to integrating Solway fully into our group, maximising the potential of the new facility at Manton Wood and securing the full benefit of synergies in areas such as productivity and procurement.”
