Northern Foods has agreed to sell the Cavaghan & Gray Seafood chilled and frozen fish business to IFP Holdings, a subsidiary of Icelandic Group, for £12.6m.
The seafood company processes and manufactures added value fish products, particularly coated white fish and Scottish salmon, sold principally under the Marks & Spencer and Waitrose retailer brands. It has two factories, one in Grimsby and the other in Aberdeen, that employ 390 people.
