Yoplait Dairy Crest has said it has no immediate plans to extend a probiotic yogurt drink called Everybody, currently on sale in Ireland and Northern Ireland, into the UK.
Launched by Yoplait’s Irish franchisee, Glanbia, the drink is the brand’s first move into probiotic yogurt and pitches it against the likes of Danone’s Actimel and Müller’s Vitality brands.
The drink contains LGG, a probiotic agent developed in Finland, which is said to boost the intestinal balance and it also includes 15 vitamins and minerals. It comes in Original, Strawberry, Orange and Raspberry and Passion Fruit flavours in four and eight packs of 90ml bottles. Yoplait is looking at ways of developing export potential throughout Europe. “The name Everybody is exportable,” said Magennis, marketing director of Glanbia, “and the drink is second in the Irish market behind Actimel and in front of Vitality.”
