Branston is attempting to reinvigorate the mayonnaise category with its most high-profile launch in four years.
The Premier Foods brand is launching Mayo with a Twist, its first mayonnaise product. It features a combination of mayo and fresh ingredients in Lime & Chilli, Lemon & Roast Garlic, Sweet Chilli and Mustard & Onion flavours.
The range would be the brand's biggest product launch since its Relish range hit shelves in 2005, according to Kelly Pym, Branston marketing manager. "We are confident that this new activity will deliver the excitement the mayonnaise category needs," said Pym, adding that the brand had a knack for rejuvenating the fortunes of old favourites such as baked beans and relish.
Mayo with a Twist is available now, rsp £1.59, and will be supported by an integrated marketing campaign and instore activity.
