The rapid rate of brand extensions coming from Crabbie's is showing no sign of slowing as owner Halewood International introduces John Crabbie's Cloudy Ginger Beer.
The new drink (rsp: £2.49 for 70cl) was a booze-free version of Halewood's successful Alcoholic Ginger Beer and "less spicy but more refreshing" than brands such as Fentimans and Old Jamaica Ginger Beer, said the company.
Named after the founder of Crabbie's, the drink hits soft drinks shelves next week and follows last month's launch of Ginger Mulled Wine and Savoury Ginger Nuts. "There is a buzz about ginger at the moment in food and drink," said head of innovation Richard Clark. "The marketing will be different to the comedy of Alcoholic Ginger Beer and focus on its refreshing credentials."
The launch will be supported by a press campaign later this month.
