Nut allergy sufferers can now sit down to breakfast without worrying about the content of their muesli.
It&'s Nut Free has launched four new cereal varieties in 700g plastic tubs that are completely free of nuts and nut traces: chewy oat raisin, chewy fudge & choc chip, chewy tropical and chewy summer berries.
Founder Angie Russell said she had come up with the idea after many regular customers complained there was not enough nut-free choice in the category.
&"We have always concentrated on the quality of our foods and feel strongly that the words &'free from&' don&'t become a password for &'tastes awful&',&" said Russell. &"When you have a family member with a nut allergy it makes sense for everyone to switch to no-risk foods.&"
The company, which started by producing biscuits and cakes, claims to be the first to offer a com­pletely nut-free guarantee on all its products.
The It&'s Nut Free cereal range is available in Morrisons (rsp: £3.49).
