Seafood brand Ocean Crown has boosted its free-from offering with a new range of MSC-certified gluten-free pasta sauces and ambient shellfish lines.
The range, which went on sale last week at the Scandia Foods-owned brand’s new website oceancrownfoods.com, consists of mussels with mustard & honey pasta sauce, and mussels in tomato & red pepper pasta sauce jars, alongside smoked mussels in rapeseed oil, cockles in brine, mussels in escabeche sauce and mussels in brine lines.
The cans and jars, which vary in price from £1.79 to £2.49, join the brand’s existing cooked & pickled cockles and cooked & pickled mussels SKUs, currently stocked in Asda, The Co-op Group and Spar.
“Our new pasta sauces are the perfect accompaniment to gluten-free pasta while our tasty range of cockles and mussels are delicious with gluten-free bread and crackers,” said Ocean Crown CEO Lisa West.
“By merchandising these products together on the free-from fixture, retailers can offer customers complete convenient, store cupboard meal solutions.”
