The Offcie of Fair Trading has cleared Monaghan’s Mushrooms acquisition of Sussex Mushrooms.

The regulator approved the merger on 2 December after launching an investigation in August. There are no conditions attached.

Monaghan Mushrooms bought Sussex Mushrooms in July after Sussex appointed liquidators.

In September, Monaghan and Sussex agreed to a so-called ‘hold separate’ agreement, which stopped them from integrating their businesses while the deal was being investigated.
