While no longer reported as a individual chart within the Promotrack feature, Assosia continues to monitor the overall top ten branded activity across all categories on a weekly basis and it is worth mentioning this week that three brands have really increased activity overall.
The brand that has shown the most improved activity to move into the chart at number eight is Old El Paso, which also features in this week's main activity table with its Fajita Kits (last week we showed the Old El Paso Nacho Kit).
The brand has shown consistent activity for the past few weeks and has offers this week across three retailers with its Kit ranges. The 'save' mechanic has been used across all the retailers, ensuring that the offers are consistent.
The second brand is Fox's, which again has featured in the main activity chart in previous weeks, but has not managed to reach the top ten overall brand list. This week Fox's has created enough activity to sit in joint ninth place with Cadbury.
The last brand worth mentioning is Dove, which this week sits at number five in the overall activity chart. The Dove brand has shown consistent activity, recording a presence in featured space aisles most weeks for the last 12 weeks, but has not reached the top ten branded chart due to the previous presence of beer, wine and spirits brands.
Dove has offers across four of the five retailers with its range of bodywash, handwash and shampoo/conditioner products. The favoured mechanics are 'x for y' and buy-one-get-one-free.
When selecting the brands to place in this week's main activity chart, the Promotrack team chose products that have either shown a consistent offer over several issues, or have products that have made an impact in-store, either through a well merchandised display, prominent location or because the offer itself was appealing to consumers and was highlighted as such by the Promotrack field team.
