Filippo Berio is hoping to grease its British sales figures with the launch of three new extra virgin olive oil varieties.
The newcomers flavoured with garlic, basil or chilli peppers are made by infusing the taste of the added ingredients in casks containing plain olive oil.
Filippo Berio said its new oils were ideal as easy-preparation marinades, sauces and dressings. They can also be drizzled straight from the bottle on to pasta and salads, while the Chilli Peppers is suitable for pouring over pizzas, Chinese and Mexican dishes, said the company.
Each 250ml glass bottle has an rsp of £2.99.
