ROC UK is stepping up its expansion plans for its On The Run Esso forecourt stores.
The company said it wanted to boost its portfolio of 55 On The Run sites, which feature cafés serving Costa coffee and Délice de France pastries, to 80 by the end of 2006.
“At present the focus for investment is the south of England,” said a spokesman for the business.
“However, plans are in place to grow the chain nationwide in the coming years.
“On The Run sites are specially designed to offer fast, fresh and friendly service. Experience to date confirms that they are popular with the local community and drivers passing through.”
ROC UK has launched a recruitment drive for retail store managers for potential On The Run shops across the south of England.
The forecourt operator currently manages 150 Esso forecourt stores, including Tesco Alliance and Snack & Shop sites.
It added that it aimed to grow that figure to 270 by the end of the year.
