One Stop has opened its 300th franchise store, in Brandon, Durham.
It is owned by the Wilson brothers, Daniel and Craig, marking their 18th franchise store with One Stop. That equates to triple the store numbers from when they joined seven years ago, with nearly 200 employees now in the business.
“I’m excited about this store,” said Daniel Wilson. “It has a great track record and the local community have been looking forward to the opening.
“I never imagined we’d have 18 stores with One Stop, but it’s been a rewarding experience. We feel we can run multiple sites now with ease, and we have seen very consistent growth throughout.”
One Stop head of franchise John Miller said: “At One Stop, we’ve quickly and nimbly evolved the brand to find the right formula. However, it’s the endorsement of our franchisees and the industry awards we’ve been achieving which really confirms we’ve got this right.
“We offer time-saving processes and technology including a sophisticated EPoS system with stock auto replenishment. We work closely with our franchisees to deliver exactly what they need, when they need it, so there is less stock stored in the shop and a reduction of waste overall.
“As retail experts we provide full support and backing for our franchisees from their own business development manager to a dedicated franchise action line.”
Daniel Wilson said One Stop’s support package for franchisees had helped the business grow.
“One Stop has its fingers right on the pulse when it comes to advanced data,” he said. “The information sharing is second to none, which has helped us to grow. The mapping data for new sites allows us to survey a lot of potentials.
“Although we turn many sites down, we know with the ones we take on we’ve had all the right information to create a business that will thrive within the local area.”
A subsidiary of Tesco, One Stop has invested £4.25m into its franchise portfolio in the past three years. It was recognised as Franchiser of the Year at The Grocer Gold Awards in 2021.
