Oppo ice cream has added Holland & Barrett and Budgens to its stockists.
The brand’s salted caramel flavour went on sale in 200 Holland & Barrett stores this month in 500ml tubs (rsp: £5.99). And from the start of September, three flavours will be listed in 100 Budgens stores: salted caramel, mint choc swirl, and Madagascan vanilla.
The brand is also listed in 118 Waitrose stores, Ocado and Whole Foods Market.
“We’re delighted to be stocking Oppo ice cream - we love working with exciting brands that have something different to offer,” said Gareth Hiron, brand buyer for frozen and bakery at Budgens. “With fewer calories than an apple, the Oppo ice creams are certainly unique and they taste great too so I’m confident they’ll be a real hit with our customers.”
Oppo is made with ingredients such as coconut oil and stevia, and contains 78 calories per 100ml - compared with about 150-225 for most brands of ice cream.
