Organic children's food brand Miniscoff in liquidation and seeking buyer

Organic children’s food manufacturer Miniscoff is seeking a buyer after falling into liquidation.

The Wiltshire-based company, which employs four people, cited the loss of a major contract for its decision to cease trading 25 May.

The award-winning business, which was based in Holt near Bath, had supplied ready-made organic meals for children since it launched in 1999.

A buyer is now being sought for the company name, goodwill and assets, including its recipes.

Neil Vinnicombe and Simon Haskew, partners at rescue specialists Begbies Traynor’s Bath and Bristol offices, were appointed joint liquidators of Miniscoff Ltd on June 15.

Miniscoff, which was founded by Angus Oliphant, still has six children’s frozen ready meal SKU’s listed on Ocado’s website.

“At a time of growing awareness of the need to eat more healthily, it’s truly regrettable that a business like this has come to an end,” commented Vinnicombe.

“But we are optimistic that its central mission to provide healthy food can continue, as serious interest in the business has been shown and we are hopeful of finding a buyer.”
