Group financial controller Mark Bottomley has been promoted to group finance director of Cranswick. Bottomley has been group financial controller since January 2008 and has several years' experience in the food production sector. He replaces John Lindop, who retires after 17 years at Cranswick.

Barbara Dure has retired as president of Plymouth & South West Co-op. Dure was first elected to the society's board in 1977 and was made vice president in 1995 before becoming president in 2004. She will be replaced by Jill Blake.
